So what has happened so far?
We were expecting phase 2 to be implemented from 1 April 2015, however we know this has been delayed until at least 1 October 2015.
The reason for this delay, we think, is because the SRA still need to decide on the best process to adopt and what will constitute that process.
An election result that returned the Conservative Party with a majority was so unexpected that not a single commentator, as far as I am aware, predicted such an outcome. I believe that this was based on their intention to keep our economy secure by promising amongst other issues:
Running a surplus so that we start paying down the national debt.
On 21 April, Peter Glading, Sharyn Scott and I attended the awards lunch for the EADT Suffolk Food & Drink Awards as sponsors of the Best Independent Food and Drink Retailer Award. The awards ceremony was held at Milsoms, Kesgrave, and attracted not only the finalists in all categories of the competition, but a great number of ‘movers and shakers’ from the Suffolk food and drink industry, The sun shone, the fizz flowed, and we were all very excited to find out who the winners would be.
