Statement regarding King’s Lynn Football Club (1994) Ltd

12th January 2010
Licensed insolvency practitioner David Whitehead from Larking Gowen in Norwich has been appointed Liquidator by the Secretary of State for King’s Lynn Football Club (1994) Ltd.

David Whitehead confirmed he has sold the fixtures and fittings at the stadium to King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Borough Council (“the council”).

Following the sale, the Liquidator has disclaimed the lease to the stadium and returned it to the council.

All known creditors have been written to and a meeting has been organised.

Mr Whitehead said, “It is sad that a Football Club with such a long history has failed. However, the lease of the ground and fixtures and fittings are now back with the council, who can allow a new owner to grow and develop the club.”

As per previous statement, Mr Whitehead is still carrying out investigations and gathering further information on Company assets.

If anybody has any information on Company assets, which would be of use to the Liquidator, please contact a member of the business recovery team on 0845 450 2466.
