The Deal

Countrywide in Norfolk Ltd was acquired in 2007 and has gone from strength to strength ever since, under the previous owners. The company operated under a franchise in Norfolk, north Suffolk and a small part of Cambridgeshire and south Lincolnshire offering a variety of services including grass cutting, sports pitch marking, landscaping and gritting to name only a few. MHA Larking Gowen assisted the vendors to sell Countrywide in Norfolk Ltd whilst also negotiating with the franchisors, enabling the previous owners to enjoy retirement from the business, whilst the business continued with the new owners and the franchisors.

The vendors have been clients of the firm for a number of years and it was pleasing to be able to help them retire, having gained best value reward for their years of hard work building a successful business.

  • Negotiations with vendors and buyers to agree price, terms and heads;
  • Advise on the tax structure for the disposal;
  • Negotiations and liaison with the franchisor;
  • Deal management.
