Do you have the right software package for upcoming HMRC changes?
Friday, 05 October 2018
Like many businesses, you’ve been filing your VAT returns online and have kept your records in line with HMRC requirements. However, HMRC are changing those requirements and introducing Making Tax Digital (MTD).
VAT registered businesses will be the first to be affected by this change, meaning all records need to be maintained and submitted digitally from April 2019 onwards.
Due to this change, you may find that your current software package needs upgrading or, if you don’t use a software package, you’ll need to get one.
As MTD comes into force, for your first VAT return to be filed after April 2019, you have time to think about your options and get to grips with new software, if need be. We can help you every step of the way and can provide as much support you need.
Although this may seem daunting, we can help to make the transition to MTD as simple as possible for you.
- Talk to us about having an MTD health check. We can review your current systems and let you know if you need to update your practices or software, including whether a cloud package is suitable for your business.
- We can help set up the system for you, working closely with you to understand your needs for the system as well as making sure it will meet the MTD requirements.
Our specialist outsourcing team can also assist with day to day record keeping, giving you time to develop your business rather than worry about the bookkeeping.
