Moving forward with your business
Tuesday, 14 July 2020
Now lockdown is finally gradually easing, we all probably need a bit of personal grooming and perhaps fancy a pint down the pub. Of course, we continue to take precautions and follow the Government’s advice. However, what advice is there for businesses to help them move forward?
I’m sure that part of the easing of lockdown is to help businesses to survive this unprecedented situation, and whilst there will inevitably be casualties, hopefully most businesses will find ways to survive, innovate and perhaps come out stronger in due course.
To help businesses with this, I’m highlighting some specific links to our COVID-19 Hub on our website containing some very practical business advice.
Two of the firm’s business advisory experts, Mark Cutis and James Lay, have put together a series of videos relating to personal resilience, which I’ve found very useful. Topics include ‘Managing stress’, ‘Managing change in a world of change’ and ‘Dealing with barriers.’
‘Impromtu’ business advice
Mark and James are also doing weekly podcasts, ‘Impromptu Business Chat’, which are entertaining and useful. They explain the government guidance in more detail, offering sound business advice to help you through these uncertain times. Recent podcasts include ‘Pricing in a pandemic’, ‘To furlough and beyond’ and ‘All aboard the Entrepreneur Ship.’
Alright, they’re not exactly ‘Morecambe and Wise’, but I think you’ll find them interesting and hopefully they’ll provide you with some good ideas for moving forward with your business.
“If anything should happen to me…”
Surveys indicate that less than half of those in the UK have written a will. What happens if you die intestate? How can you avoid potential complications by making sure you have an up-to-date will? Read Stephen Coby’s blog.
