Understanding the Academy Trust Handbook 2026 changes

Partner in our Not for Profit team, Giles Kerkham, has put together this brochure, which provides a detailed overview of the key changes in the Academy Trust Handbook 2026 compared with the 2025 edition.

It highlights what academy trusts, trustees and finance teams need to be aware of, including stronger expectations around governance, financial leadership, procurement, executive pay, severance payments and transparency.

It also includes practical commentary and an implementation checklist to help trusts prepare for the new requirements, which take effect from Thursday, 1 October.
