Countryside Productivity Small Grants Scheme closes 3 September
The second round of the Countryside Productivity Small Grants Scheme, administered by the Rural Payments Agency (RPA), opened for applications on 9 July 2019.
The scheme provides grants of between £3,000 and £12,000 for new equipment purchased to help with:
- technical efficiency
- animal health and welfare
- resource efficiency, or
- nutrient management
A full list of the equipment qualifying for grants can be found in Annex 3 (page 51 onwards) of the scheme handbook.
The first round of the scheme was praised for its relative simplicity as grants are awarded based on a standard cost of the items applied for.
Farmers who applied in the first round of the scheme last year can apply again, provided the total of the two applications does not exceed £12,000.
The scheme closes midday on 3 September 2019. Further details on the grants available and the online application can be found here.
