For many charities, the rising cost of fuel and energy is a major source of concern. As the days lengthen and the temperatures slowly start to creep up, you would hope that the financial pressures placed on charities from rising energy costs would start to ease, but this is often not the case. The Energy Bills Discount Scheme, which applies from April 2023 to March 2024, is less generous than its predecessor, and some elements of the discount need to be applied for, as we explain.
