Boost for Bury St Edmunds Rugby as Larking Gowen joins sponsors
Regional accountancy and business advisory firm Larking Gowen has forged a new partnership with Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club, sponsoring five women players and one men’s first team player.
Bruce Masson, Partner in the firm’s Farm and Rural Business Team, said: “We’re proud to be able to give our support to one of East Anglia’s most dynamic clubs and the individual players who contribute to its success.
“Women’s rugby is going through an amazing period of growth, both in terms of participation and support and Larking Gowen is pleased to be able to be part of that, as well as supporting the men’s game in the region.”
Women’s 1st XV player Heather Barrie said she was very grateful for Larking Gowen’s support in sponsoring her personally and the women’s team.
“Their generosity has played a vital role in helping me and the team grow, develop, and push for success as we navigate our first season in Championship 1 North.
“On a personal level, I am extremely grateful for the high-quality kit we receive through their sponsorship. It not only supports us practically but also reflects the high standards and professionalism that run throughout both the squad and the club.
“Knowing that we have their backing gives us a real sense of pride and motivation every time we step onto the pitch,” she said.
Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club Commercial Manager Will Affleck said: “We are delighted to welcome Larking Gowen into the #buryrugbyfamily and on behalf of the club. I offer our utmost thanks for their support of our journey. Larking Gowen is a prestigious name in East Anglia and we are proud to welcome them into our business community as a Club Sponsor.
“I have long admired the depth and breadth of sponsorship that Larking Gowen provides to organisations across the region, and to see this generosity extended to Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club is something that makes me extremely proud.
“I look forward to introducing Larking Gowen to the rest of our business portfolio and to be building on this partnership for many seasons to come.”
