27 new trainees join Larking Gowen across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex
A new generation of accountants, business advisors and tax practitioners have joined Larking Gowen, one of East Anglia's leading independent accountancy and business advisory firms, to begin their professional training.
This year, 27 students have joined the firm. The intake includes school leavers, university graduates and placement year students who will be based across Larking Gowen's offices in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.
The new recruits will work towards professional qualifications in accountancy and taxation, alongside a range of specialist certifications, while gaining practical experience across a diverse range of sectors and client assignments.
The latest intake reflects our long-term commitment to developing talent and investing in people. Julie Grimmer, Managing Partner at Larking Gowen, commented:
"Welcoming our new students is always one of the highlights of the year. We are passionate about creating opportunities for talented people to build rewarding careers in our profession, and we are delighted to welcome 27 new starters to Larking Gowen.
"Our profession continues to evolve rapidly, with advances in technology, data analytics and AI creating exciting opportunities for both our people and our clients. We are committed to providing a supportive training environment that combines professional development, practical experience and continuous learning, helping our students develop the skills they need for the future."
Students joining the firm will benefit from structured training programmes, mentoring, coaching and support from experienced colleagues. They will also have opportunities to work collaboratively across service lines, developing the broad technical, commercial and relationship-building skills that are increasingly important in today's business environment. This approach supports the firm's ambition to be recognised as a great place to work and to develop the next generation of leaders and future partners.
Julie added:
"We believe our people are our greatest strength. By investing in learning, development and wellbeing, we are helping to create an environment where everyone can thrive, build strong relationships and make a meaningful impact.
"Many of our current leaders began their careers as trainees, and we look forward to supporting this new cohort as they develop into the trusted advisers, specialists and future leaders of our firm.”
