Biography
Julie is Larking Gowen’s Managing Partner, leading partners and our whole team, and with principal responsibility for the firm’s growth and continuing development strategy. Julie works closely with the team focusing on developing people and building enduring relationships with clients, to deliver genuine value.
Before becoming Managing Partner in 2021, Julie headed the firm’s Not for Profit and Education Practice. This continues to be an area of focus and Julie advises some of the firm’s most significant charity and not for profit sector clients, including independent schools.
As someone who joined Larking Gowen as a trainee, Julie is passionate about the firm’s people strategy which includes a commitment to a training and development strategy reflecting the firm’s ethos of career long development for all. Julie therefore spends considerable time coaching and developing members of the Larking Gowen team.
Julie also takes the lead role in the firm’s membership of PrimeGlobal, a leading global association of independent accountancy and business advisory firms. Larking Gowen’s membership and active engagement through PrimeGlobal creates a collaborative global community with insight to support the development of people and client relationships.
Julie Chairs the UK and Ireland PrimeGlobal Managing Partners group and represents member firms from the UK and Ireland on the PrimeGlobal Europe, Middle East and Africa Council. Larking Gowen’s collaboration with other PrimeGlobal members across the UK and beyond delivers strong global connections, with firms sharing our “client first” ethos and vision of building enduring client relationships which deliver real value. By working collaboratively with this dynamic community, we ensure Larking Gowen’s clients and our team and are supported and advised both locally and globally.
