Larking Gowen’s Volunteer day policy supports community engagement

Aimed at strengthening community engagement and supporting local initiatives the Larking Gowen Volunteer Day policy encourages every member of our team to set aside one day annually to do volunteer work by contributing their time and skills to a cause of their choice.

At Larking Gowen, we believe that giving back to the community is an integral part of our community engagement. Through this initiative, our purpose is to help local organisations as well as giving our people the opportunity to develop new skills, build community ties, and feel a sense of personal fulfilment.

The policy is designed to be flexible and we want our people to choose activities that align with their own individual interests and values. Whether it’s participating in environmental conservation projects, helping at local food banks, or supporting educational programmes, our team members are free to choose where they’d like to spend their day.

“We’re always excited to see the different ways in which our team engage with and support their local areas,” says Julie Grimmer, the firm’s Managing Partner. “One member of the team volunteered as a bone marrow donor; another spent a day helping disabled people at a horse riding centre.  It’s great to know our people are taking the opportunity to spend their Volunteer Day doing activities like this that strengthen our commitment to our local communities.”
