Biography
Sebastian (Baz) joined Larking Gowen intially in 2006 but left in 2011 to travel Australia and various parts of Europe. Baz rejoined the firm in 2013 and has since passed the CPI exams in 2014 and more recently he has passed the Joint Insolvency Examination Board (JIEB) exams in 2026.
Baz has a wide variety of experience ranging from trading administrations, solvent and insolvent liquidations and personal insolvencies including IVA’s and Bankruptcies. Baz also heads up the MVL (solvent liquidation) team.
Examples of recent assignments that Baz has been involved in include:
- Assisting the director of a highstreet shop, which had been trading since 1967, to place the Company into Liquidation.
- Assisting the shareholders of a family run business to place the Company into a solvent liquidation (MVL) allowing the shareholders to extract capital from the Company in the most tax efficient way.
- Facilitating the appointment of Administrators in a Pre Pack Administration including guidance to the directors with the required marketing process prior to the sale of the assets and goodwill.
- Assisting a sole trader with successfully obtaining an IVA to deal with substantial HMRC debts.
Baz has applied for his full insolvency license and hopes to start taking insolvency appointments before the end of 2026.
